Prints direct from Loxley Colour Labs
When you buy on this site the order goes directly to one of the top photographic printers in the country, award winning Loxley Colour. For paper prints the turn around is really quick and the photos will usually be posted to you next day and should be with you (if you're in the UK) two days from ordering. This website is run by a system called Smugmug, so if things say Smugmug in the checkout don't worry that's just how it works.
See the Prices page.
How to order
To order prints you need to click through to a photo and then click on the buy button in the bottom right corner, you'll see the print sizes and products available. For prints I recommend the lustre finish but there's gloss if you prefer. For other products you can see more details by clicking the info links by each product option. Just in case it's not as obvious as it should be here's a link to help on ordering on Smugmug.
I use a micro 4/3rd camera (Olympus EM5 mkII if you're interested) this is small enough to carry easily and produces excellent quality images. The images from this camera are 4x3 aspect ratio and you need to be aware of this when ordering your prints.
You'll find 2 categories of paper prints available when you click buy. Take care as Standard Sizes do not match exactly the format of my images but they're useful sizes for framing. In Other Sizes you'll find the sizes that exactly match the 4/3 format of the pictures you see on this website.
You can choose which edges of the photo are cut off when it's cropped but be careful not to cut out some important detail that's near the edge of a photo. Not all the photos are suitable for cropping in my opinion but some look just fine in 3/2 ratio. You may even prefer how it looks in 18x12 rather than 16x12. More help here on cropping.
Loxley Wall Art and Desk Art
I've included some options for framed products direct from Loxley. If you decide to order any of these rather than normal prints the please make sure to check the more info details during so you're sure what you are getting. The framing is contemporary and may not suit all tastes. They're not like the frame in the picture on this page, that's one I did myself.
For framed prints I recommend 16x12 inch prints which match the format of my photos. A 16x12 inch print looks good in a 50x40cm frame with a border mount. The mount will often come with the frame and needs to be for 16x12 inch print (if it says the mount aperture is 30x40cm then that'll fit).
Prints in standard sizes like 10x8, 12x8 or 18x12 inches are common sizes for picture frames but keep an eye on the cropping when you order the print.
Of course you can take the prints to a picture framer who will have a wider choice of frames and mounts.
I plan to increase the maximum size available in the future but to ensure the quality is excellent I have to make some more test prints at larger sizes... I'm working on it but if you want something sooner contact me and I'll see if it's possible.
You can buy digital versions of the photographs for personal use. The hi-res version is not the full sized digital image but a scaled down version suitable for printing up to A4 size. If you buy a digital version please read the license agreement. The digital photo is for personal your use only.
For commercial, charity or other non-personal use (like local Llangrannog groups) please contact me and we can discuss terms. I'm generally pretty accommodating particularly for good causes.
